Safety & Comfort

We operate a no-shoes play area. Socks or tights must be worn at all times.

For the comfort and safety of everyone, staff will request that children put on socks before entering the play area and may refuse play if this policy is not followed.

We've created a lovely, safe space for little ones to explore while parents and carers enjoy a proper coffee. It's the perfect balance of fun for the kids and calm for the adults.

Jane P, Longridge Canteen Owner.

Toddlers will absolutely love it here — the sessions are well organised, the staff are brilliant, and the homemade food is such a bonus!

Daniel W, parent from Clitheroe.

We love that it's family-run — you can feel the care that's gone into everything. We want children and adults to always leave happy and worn out in the best way!

FAQs

  • If we drive, where can we park?

There is plenty of street parking around the cafe and you're free to use the Little People at the Limes Nursery car park at weekends.

  • What is your sickness policy?

For the wellbeing of all our guests, we ask that children only attend when they are fit and well.

    • Children must be symptom-free for 48 hours following any sickness or diarrhoea.
    • Attendance with infectious illnesses (such as chicken pox or HFM) is at staff discretion. All spots or scabs must be completely dry, and children must appear generally well.
    • Any child who is visibly unwell or considered infectious will be refused entry or may be asked to leave. Refunds cannot be offered in these circumstances.
  • Can I leave my child or children with you?

Unfortunately not, we are not a crèche and children must be supervised at all times. Food is not allowed in any area of the play spaces and we expect parents to be in full control. Anybody not abiding by our rules will be asked to leave. We pride ourselves on providing a quality, safe place for everyone to enjoy.

  • Can I come for food and drink without a child?

The answer is yes, if we have room. Please remember, we are primarily a place where parents/carers come for some valued time alongside their children. It will not necessarily be a peaceful, calming treat when children are enjoying themselves! If that’s what you’re after, we are not the place for you!

  • Can we walk in at any time?

Yes, as long as it’s not our reset time, at the end of a session or during fully booked sessions or classes that will be running. We would advise that you book online in advance where you will be able to check session times, availability and any special events.

  • Can I book a personal private party with you?

To start with we're not offering this but this is something we hope to be able to do when we become more established. Please talk to a team member for more details.
